Pranayama, the science of controlled, conscious expansion of Prana (the life force) is the fourth limb of classical Yoga. The art and science of Pranayama has immense therapeutic potential in a wide range of psychosomatic disorders such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma. It can be used either as a monotherapy or in combination with Asanas and other aspects of Yoga. Pranayama is of vital importance to any sincere yoga practitioner trying to achieve the state of Yoga. Unless the mind is controlled, the higher aspects of yoga are not possible and the best and only way to really control the mind is by regular, dedicated and determined practice of Pranayama with awareness, consciousness and purity of thought, word and deed. 1. Drugs and day dreams has been delivering these messages across. The program is managed by the Drug, Alcohol and Prevention Services Division of the Mental Health Commission in collaboration with Curtin University. Drugs and day dreams as part of a state framework of educational strategies designed to address illicit drug use among young people in Western Australia. It is the first comprehensive ongoing program on illicit drug education undertaken. The program seeks to provide honest, credible and evidence-based information to young people in order to help them make informed decisions. The campaign targets people aged 14 to 29. With specific focus on certain age groups within this dependent on the campaign message. The campaign uses mass reach education including radio, outdoor, cinema and online media with the aim of preventing young people from using illicit drugs as well as encouraging those who have tried, or regularly use illicit drugs to stop using. Drugs and day dreams currently implements a number of campaigns and programs focusing on illicit drug prevention, methamphetamine and safer events and venues. The program also supports and develops strategies to create safer environments for young people where they may be at risk of harm from illicit drug use. Strong Spirit Strong Mind Strong Spirit Strong Mind promotes the uniqueness of Aboriginal culture as a central strength in guiding efforts to manage and reduce alcohol and other drug related harm in Aboriginal communities.
